In this post I would like to give you a quick overview about the electroincs I use in my HK450GT…
- As a speed controller I use the Turnigy Sentry 40A. It provides enough reserve for a 450 helicopter. And it has the cool feature that it monitors each single sell of your LiPo during the flight.

- My motor is the Turnigy Typhoon 2215. With it’s 3550KV and a 11T pinion it spins up the rotor at the optimal head speed.

- On the swash plate I use three HXT900 9g servos. These are so cheap but at the same time quick and reliable. On my HK450v2 I also use a HXT900 on the tail. It work really well as tail servo if you start to fly helicopters.

- HobbyKing’s 401B gyro is a real bargain. It works good although I experience a slight drift of the nose to the left.

- As tail servo I choose the MD922. It’s a digital servo that is really fast, had metal gears and work well together with the 401B gyro. And with $9.99 it’s dirt cheap.

Next to this I’ll be using my good and trusty HK 7-X v2 transmitter and receiver. It served me well on my old HK 450 v2 and on some of my scratch built foamy planes. It’s easy to setup and has all the features needed for an RC helicopter. I’ve allready done a short video about the HK 7x transmitter in the past. You can find the article here.
